Knoxland Films is a Scottish wedding filmmaking team creating natural, cinematic films that preserve the people, voices and atmosphere of a wedding day. Our approach is simple: we want to tell your story in a way that feels real, authentic and unmistakably like you. There is no cookie-cutter process here, because every couple, every wedding and every story is different.

Some films are bold and dramatic, others are playful and thoughtful, some lean into romance and others celebrate the party. Every wedding has its own rhythm. Our job is to capture yours.
We’ll get to know you, we’ll ask questions and listen to your answers. The more we know about you, the better we can tailor our service to you. Making wedding films fills us with huge job satisfaction. We love making people smile, and cry… happy tears of course. We take a limited number of commissions per year for a couple of reasons. It allows us to really focus on our couples, because you are not just another number to us. It means we can spend the time we need to in the edit to get everything just right. We never rush anything just to get it over the line. We pour our hearts into the edit, the story, the sound design and the colours. Limited numbers also mean we still get really excited for each and every wedding and you will get nothing but 110 percent from our enthusiastic and skilled team.

Don’t worry! Those memories are in the safest of hands and will be compiled for you in the most beautiful way. We will skilfully intertwine the visuals, words, music and sounds from the day into films that are not only stunning but also entertaining to watch. One of the reasons our couples book us is because they watch our previous couples’ films and feel like they are cheering them on by the end of it. They are invested in two people they have never met before. When that happens, we have truly done our job.

Wedding Film?
Lots and lots of effort. It's true, behind every great wedding film you've ever seen is someone giving their couple 110%. We strive to give you nothing but our very best efforts from the moment you first reach out to us up until delivery (and beyond). Our couples become family and we're on call for them at any time. We've done this hundreds of times and have a wealth of experience, ideas and friends in the industry that we'd love to pass on to you to make sure your day goes by without a hitch... (resisting the obvious dad joke here.)

After the wedding, your footage is immediately treated as something irreplaceable. We keep four separate copies before the editing process begins.
This is where everything comes together: the images, voices, music, conversations and little moments from throughout the day. We take our time with the edit because the aim isn’t simply to make something beautiful, it’s to make something that feels like your wedding.
We aim to deliver your completed collection within 12 weeks. Your films are delivered through a private online gallery where they can be watched, downloaded and easily shared with family and friends.

Planning
Once you’re booked, we’re part of the team. We’ll get to know your plans, what’s important to you and anything you definitely want us to know about the day. We’ll also work closely with your photographer, celebrant, venue and other key suppliers so everyone is pulling in the same direction.
You can involve us as much or as little as you like. If you need advice, supplier recommendations or simply another opinion, we’re here.

Discovery
Every great wedding film starts with getting to know the people in it. We’ll have a relaxed chat, usually over Zoom, about you, your wedding plans and what matters most to you. It’s also a chance to make sure we’re the right fit for each other before you decide to have us there on such an important day.

The Main Event
Your job is to enjoy your wedding. Ours is to make sure you can relive it afterwards.
We’ll arrive early, get ourselves organised and work quietly behind the scenes so everything is ready when it needs to be. Throughout the day we’ll capture the big moments, the little ones happening around them and plenty you probably didn’t even notice at the time.
We’ll guide you when you need us, disappear into the background when you don’t, and work alongside the rest of your wedding team to keep things relaxed.
Our Approach

Natural, thoughtful & unscripted.
We want you to feel relaxed and completely yourselves. We won't put you into unnatural poses, take your drinks away or disappear with you for hours while your guests are having all the fun.
We'll blend in with your friends and family, stepping in when you need us and disappearing into the background when you don't. One of our favourite compliments is that it felt like having another friend at the wedding, who just happened to be holding a camera.
The result is a creative but honest film of the wedding you actually had, full of the people, conversations and moments that made it yours.
Arrive early, leave late.
We like to arrive with plenty of time to settle in, meet everyone and get everything ready before the day really gets going. That gives us time for establishing shots, venue details and drone footage where conditions and permissions allow.
And we don't disappear as soon as dinner is finished. The dance floor is part of the story too, so we'll normally stay until around an hour after the dancing begins to capture the atmosphere once the party is properly underway.

Once your date is in our diary, we're here whenever you need us. Looking for a great bagpiper? Wondering about timings? Need another opinion on something you've planned? Just ask.
For most couples this is their first time planning a wedding. We've been to hundreds of them, so we're very happy to share what we've learned.
On the day itself, we'll help where we can, keep things relaxed and hopefully feel much more like part of the wedding than another supplier standing at the side.
The kit matters. The people matter more
We love cameras, lenses, audio equipment and all the clever technology that helps us create beautiful films, but great equipment is only part of the job.
Knowing where to be, anticipating what is about to happen and making people feel comfortable in front of the camera matters far more. We use professional filmmaking and audio equipment throughout the day, capture and deliver in 4K, and carefully back up your footage before the edit begins.
